- BigCommerce partners with several B2C and B2B BigCommerce merchants that offer one-click crypto payment integration.
- By partnering with BitPay and CoinPayments, BigCommerce will enable crypto payments at 115,000 merchants in 190 countries.
Online platforms around the world have tried to integrate crypto payments to encourage adoption. On Thursday, September 15, leading open SaaS e-commerce platform BigCommerce announced its strategic partnership with BitPay and CoinPayments.
The aim is to provide secure crypto payment solutions to all BigCommerce merchants in selected countries. To continue expanding in the crypto ecosystem, BigCommerce offers merchants the opportunity to offer payment options, expand market share, expand customer base and accelerate international growth. Commenting on the development, Marc Ostryniec, Chief Sales Officer at BigCommerce said:
Expanding our crypto ecosystem with trusted, best-of-breed partners is just one step to drive innovation and growth for our merchants. A new era of consumers are passionate about transacting with crypto, and we’re helping them do it. Merchants who embrace this new technology can stay relevant and stay on top as the world of payments continues to shift to digital currencies.
Interestingly, BigCommerce offers merchants the flexibility to choose which crypto payment solutions work best in their stores. They also offer merchants a one-click integration to offer digital assets as another payment method. This also gives buyers the flexibility to spend their cryptocurrencies on purchases.

We’ve partnered with BigCommerce to minimize the hassle for merchants to add crypto as a payment option alongside their existing payment methods with just a few clicks. Our strategic partnership and integration with BigCommerce brings crypto into the mainstream and supports a different future for payments to transform the way merchants receive money worldwide.
Similarly, another crypto payment gateway, CoinPayments, has a huge market footprint. Over 115,000 merchants in 190 countries use CoinPayments to accept real-time crypto payments.
