Dogecoin payments remain an important part of the Dallas Mavericks payment option. Mark Cuban’s professional basketball team started accepting Dogecoin payments in March. This makes them the first NBA team to accept Doge payments. Cuban had later said that Doge payments had increased 550% after just the first month. Add that the team had no plans to sell any of the doges they received.
FYI, Mavs sales on @dogecoin are up 550 percent over the past month. We have now sold more than 122k Doge merchandise! 🚀🚀🚀 We will never sell a single doge. So keep buying @dallasmavsshop https://t.co/li32cdtcED

Get a $ 25 gift card to use to pay with Doge
To further promote the use of Dogecoin on their website, Cuban has now announced an incentive program. The program is a type of cash back program that rewards fans for purchases made in the Dallas Mavericks online store. The action is part of the Dogemania action currently being carried out by the Mavericks. This promotion runs from August 13th to September 20th.

When participating in Dogemania, shoppers will receive a $ 25 gift card for in-store purchases over $ 150. These purchases could range from Dallas Mavericks to suite tickets to lower-tier tickets for their games. One caveat was that it did not apply to multiple purchases divided into $ 150. To be eligible, fans would have to make a single purchase worth a total of $ 150, pre-tax and shipping. The gift card will then be sent within 5 to 7 working days of purchase.
Only payments made with Dogecoin are eligible for the $ 25 gift card. Other payment methods do not have this incentive.
Show support for Dogecoin
The promotion of incentives was generally well received by the Doge Community. Cubans are being praised for being one of the high profile figures pushing for real uses of the meme coin. Earlier this month, CNBC announced that Dogecoin was a powerful medium of exchange. Something that “dog father” Elon Musk endorsed.
