Serengeti. Two years ago, the spotted zebra Tira caught the attention of tourists when the foal and her family crossed from the Masai Mara to the Serengeti. Not much was said about the unique zebra and its whereabouts remained unknown. Two years later, Tanzania’s national parks have confirmed that Tira is back in the northern Serengeti and she is fully grown. “Tira the famous zebra is back. It feels good to be at home and good to be different. Tira is currently in the northern part of the Serngeti, ”said a post by Tanapa. In a picture taken by wildlife photographer Mohammed Hassan aka Moodieshots, this time Tira can be seen alone grazing. The post has garnered a lot of attention on social media since then and many would like it to stay there. After it was viewed and photographed for the first time at the beginning of September 2019, the images attracted a lot of attention and triggered an almost human-like “stamp” in the Mara reserve.
