Team of the Year is here, but before the full roster arrives, EA Sports is dropping the TOTY Warmup Series promo.
For the first time ever, EA Sports has decided to host a pre-TOTY event, with the warmup anticipating the release of the upcoming super-powered team.
Since this is the first time this has happened, there wasn’t much information available to players about this promotion. We can confirm that it is linked to Team of the Year and gives players the opportunity to stock up on valuable packs.
Players can expect a few SBCs, a handful of new packs, and maybe even a few player cards after initial release. For now, here’s everything we know about FUT 22’s Team of the Year Warmup Series event.
FIFA 22 Team of the Year Warmup Series release date
The good news is that players won’t have to wait long for this promo to start. According to a loading screen in FIFA 22, the TOTY Warmup Series will begin Friday January 14th.
As with all Ultimate Team promotions, the promotion begins at 6pm GMT, adding new content to the game at this time.
TOTY Warmup series leaking
Interestingly, FIFA leakers couldn’t find out anything about this promo before its release.
As it turns out, EA decided to throw a curveball at players with the TOTY Warmup. Instead of getting a collection of new promo cards, players got new SBCs, upgrade SBCs, and new objectives.
Players will have the opportunity to earn some incredible new cards in these different ways from now until TOTY’s release. EA has also granted players a free 83+ x3 pack available on FUT Store.
Starting now, players can complete a Player Moments Ilkay Gundogan SBC, a League Player Malang Sarr Objective, an 83+ 3x Defender, Midfielder, and Attacker Upgrade SBC, and two TOTY SBCs.
